“International Womens Day is important to me as it’s a day for all women to unite and celebrate all things feminine, and to support our sisters who are not as lucky as we are. Being female in contemporary society, I believe it's important for everyone to appreciate the women they have in their life and the world, and to bring to attention issues that still remain today for women such as inequal pay and the suffering of women here in Australia and abroad, from domestic violence, HIV and social inequalities to female circumcision. International Women's Day is also a day of celebration, for the achievements of women before me. As the Every Woman Festival Youth Ambassador, my aim is to be spread the word to my generation, and generations that follow. I plan to communicate this message through the technology of my generation, and through fun events that will inspire in them a passion to unite and celebrate.”
